Choosing an insurance company

I remember when I first learned about the world of insurance. I remember things in a strange world where a company with strange questions and rules.


Now after ten years, I still feel that way. I understand the lingo now, but I have to acknowledge that this is a completely different language.


The hard part about being a client is that you have to trust that your agent has your best interests at heart. That they will explain all the coverage to you in detail and not make you feel bad for asking the questions. Be sure that you, the buyer, do not hesitate to ask questions. You may not know what the coverage is, ask, you may wish you did in the case of a loss.


I also recommend reading the reviews of insurance companies and their agents before you commit. Not all reviews are paid for, you should be able to fish between the automated ones and the real ones.
