When you think of a mobile home do you think of a trailer that can be a single, double or triple wide. Good news, you are correct. But what is the difference between a mobile home and a manufactured home.
Both are made and brought to a location.
Mobile home is not on a slab, rather it is elevated and enclosed.
Manufactured homes are on a slab poured specifically to the prefab home specification.
The main difference between the two homes is that a manufactured home had a HUD sticker showing its certification. Whereas a mobile home has up to three VIN numbers.
